For about a month the authorities at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, (among four other tertiary hospitals) were challenged by the sudden epidemic of Acute Renal Failure (ARF) among children in the State as a result of the ingestion of various drugs suspected to have been contaminated with diethyleneglycol.
