Nickel content in unused fuel also found to be in natural ratios: i.e. 58Ni (68.1%), 60Ni (26.2%), 61Ni (1.1%), 62Ni (3.6%), and 64Ni (0.9%), whereas the ash composition from SIMS is: 58Ni (0.8.%), 60Ni (0.5%), 61Ni (0%), 62Ni (98.7%), 64Ni (0%), and from ICP-MS: 58Ni (0.8%), 60Ni (0.3%), 61Ni (0%), 62Ni (99.3%), 64Ni (0%). So, the fuel is indeed changed at the nuclear level. Call it what you will, this is definitely LENR!

New study confirms benefits of a low carb diet, even when eating some saturated fat. PDF Print
NY Times: The new study was financed by the National Institutes of Health and published in the Annals of Internal Medicine. It included a racially diverse group of 150 men and women — a rarity in clinical nutrition studies — who were assigned to follow diets for one year that limited either the amount of carbs or fat that they could eat, but not overall calories.

PCSK9 inhibitor arilocumab lowers cholesterol and cardiovascular events PDF Print
European Society of Cardiology: At the European Society of Cardiology’s annual meeting in Barcelona, experts revealed that the drug alirocumab was effective in lowering the so-called bad cholesterol within weeks. The effect was even greater in a combination with statin treatment. The promising findings come from an interim safety analysis of one of the nine studies reported in July to have shown consistent LDL reductions. The analysis indicates that patients given alirocumab were less likely to suffer cardiovascular events, such as cardiac death, heart attack, stroke and chest pain requiring hospitalization.

Novel heart failure drug shows great promise. PDF Print
Reuters: LCZ696 is a two-in-one pill, taken twice a day, combining Diovan's active ingredient valsartan and another class of drug called a neprilysin inhibitor. In terms of side effects, patients on LCZ696 suffered more low blood pressure and non-serious swelling but less kidney impairment, high potassium and cough than the enalapril group.
